Ingredients
4 slices thick bread (brioche or challah)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Butter for frying
Instructions
1. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
2. Dip each slice of bread in the custard mixture for 10–15 seconds per side.
3. Heat butter in a nonstick pan over medium heat.
4. Cook bread slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
5. Serve warm with maple syrup or toppings of choice.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for best texture.
Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
